Teaching with truth. Listening with respect. That’s how we grow.
My Position
The Bible was written to teach us, not to control us.
I believe in a Higher Power, and I believe that power is expressed through the words of the King James teachings. That is where my understanding comes from, and that is the foundation I stand on.
My teachings tell me not to judge others.
So if you do not believe, that is your choice — because my teachings also tell me that all men have free will. Whether you see the Bible as truth, fable, history, or something else, I am still required to love you as I love myself.
About the Bible
No word of the Bible has been changed.
What changed was people’s understanding — and the way some choose to use Scripture as a tool of control rather than a guide for living.
HOW CERTAIN BIBLE VERSES WERE MISUSED
1. Verses about servants were taken out of context
Biblical servanthood was originally:
- Economic, not racial
- Temporary, not lifelong
- Protected by law
- Based on fairness, not domination
But later, people twisted those verses to justify:
- Race‑based slavery
- Lifelong ownership
- Cruelty and violence
- Stripping people of humanity
They stripped away the protections, ignored the context, and kept only the parts that worked in their favor.
That was not Scripture — that was manipulation.
2. “Spare the rod” was turned into permission for abuse
The Bible never said, “Spare the rod, spoil the child.”
In Scripture, the “rod” is the shepherd’s tool — used to:
- Guide
- Protect
- Keep the sheep safe
But people twisted it into:
- Hitting children
- Breaking spirits
- Teaching fear instead of wisdom
That was culture, not Scripture.
That was control, not correction.
3. Verses about obedience were used to silence people
Passages meant to teach humility and order were turned into tools to:
- Keep women silent
- Keep the poor powerless
- Keep certain groups “in their place.
- Justify domination instead of partnership
Again — not Scripture.
That was a human agenda wearing a religious mask.
4. Verses about authority were used to protect against wrongdoing
Some leaders taught that questioning authority was “rebellion against God.”
But the Bible’s actual teachings are of:
- Justice
- Accountability
- Protection of the vulnerable
- The correction of leaders who misuse power
People flipped the message upside down to protect themselves.
THE TRUTH UNDERNEATH IT ALL
The Bible didn’t change.
People changed how they used it.
Some used it to heal.
Some used it to control.
Some used it to justify what they already wanted to do.
But the original message — the one true practicing Christian, as I believe, that which is simple:
- Love your neighbor.
- Do no harm.
- Treat people with dignity.
- Use your power responsibly.
- Honor free will.
- Seek truth, not domination.
That is the clean line.
That is the part that never changes.
TEACHING
Teaching is not about forcing belief.
Teaching is not about fear, control, or domination.
Teaching is about clarity, understanding, and choice.
A true teacher does not demand agreement.
A true teacher lays out the truth as they understand it,
and then allows others to walk their own path.
If I teach you something, it should free your mind, not bind it.
It should help you think, not tell you what to think.
It should give you tools, not chains.
Teaching is an act of love —
not because it is soft,
But because it is honest.
RESPONSIBILITY
Responsibility is the grown‑folk part of faith.
It means I am accountable for:
- How I treat people,
- How I use my words,
- How I carry my power,
- How I respond to disagreement,
- How I show up in the world.
Responsibility means I cannot blame my actions on Scripture.
I cannot hide behind religion to justify harm.
I cannot use belief as a shield for bad behavior.
My responsibility is to live what I claim to believe:
- If I say I love my neighbor, I must show it.
- If I say I honor free will, I must respect it.
- If I say I follow Christ’s teachings, I must walk in compassion, not control.
Responsibility is not about perfection.
It is about alignment —
making sure my actions match my values.
UNITY
Unity is not sameness.
Unity is not agreement on every detail.
Unity is not one group standing above another.
Unity is the understanding that:
- We share this world,
- We share this country,
- We share this future,
- And we rise or fall together.
Unity does not erase differences —
It honors them without letting them divide us.
Unity is the grown version of love:
steady, respectful, and rooted in dignity.
A united people cannot be easily manipulated.
A united people cannot be easily controlled.
A united people cannot be easily broken.
Unity is strength.
Unity is protection.
Unity is the path forward.
MY UNDERSTANDING DID NOT COME OVERNIGHT
These understandings I had to grow into.
They did not come overnight, and they did not come easily.
For much of my life, I lived under the misunderstanding of the teachings.
Not because I didn’t believe — but because I was taught through the lens of fear, control, and tradition instead of clarity.
The message that put me on the right track came in the form of a question:
If the Bible says to love everyone as I love myself, then why are there messages of harm?
That question stopped me.
It made me look again.
It made me study for myself.
And what I learned was simple:
Those messages of harm were not from the Bible.
They were from people who misused the Bible.
The King James teachings show a way to live in this world —
a way guided by love, not domination.
A way guided by responsibility, not fear.
A way guided by understanding, not control.
Once I saw that, everything aligned.
The confusion fell away.
The contradictions were cleared up.
And the teachings became what they were always meant to be:
A guide for living with dignity, compassion, and wisdom.
