Who I Am
I am a woman, mother, grandmother, and great‑grandmother shaped by blended lineage and the long work of restoring clarity to my family’s story. My life has carried me through many histories at once, and each generation has taught me something about dignity, belonging, and truth. I move through the world with the responsibility of those who came before me and the love I hold for those who will come after.
Why I Built This Home
This home was inspired by my own childhood and the emotions every child deserves—feeling safe, understood, accepted, and free to be themselves without having to apologise. I grew up carrying questions no child should have to carry, and I learned early how silence, confusion, and erasure can shape a life. As I became a mother, grandmother, and great‑grandmother, I watched those same questions appear in the lives of my own descendants. I built this home so they would never have to walk through that confusion alone. What began as protection for my family has become a place of dignity and understanding for any blended‑lineage family seeking language for their truth.
My Book
The book grew out of the desire to know where I came from — who my ancestors were, where I belonged, and how the pieces of my lineage fit together. As I searched for my own clarity, I watched families like mine navigate identity, belonging, and misunderstanding. I wrote this book to give language, dignity, and truth to those who carry more than one story in their blood, beginning with my own children, grandchildren, and great‑grandchildren. What was originally meant to prevent confusion and silence became a helpful guide for any family on a similar journey. This book is part of my lifelong work to restore what was lost, honor what remains, and give the next generations the words I never had as a child.

What I Hope This Home Gives You
My hope is that this home gives you what every child deserves and what many of us never receive: a place to feel seen, understood, and whole. If you carry more than one story in your blood, I want you to love all of who you are and announce it proudly. We should never deny any part of ourselves. Every lineage we carry has value, and every ancestor deserves to be remembered with dignity. Our blended identities are not something to hide or soften; they are the truth that shaped us.
Our blended lineage is our legacy.
